Master of Puppets (1986) Ranked!

I did this with the ride the Lightning video!

Overall the album is a 10/10 but like if it comes to decimals then it’s like a 10.4 as Justice is my favourite by a little way if that makes sense?


1) Disposable heroes— This song is the most underrated song by Metallica. No doubt in my mind. The fast paced intro followed by the triplets and dow picking section which is one of the hardest on the picking arm and the chorus too...10/10

2) Battery— I love thrash Metallica songs the most but this is one of the best ones!! The intro is very interesting and I can’t even describe how different the main verse riff is. 10/10

3) Orion— I don’t know if this is the best instrumental or because to live is to die is pretty close...this song is beautifu. 10/10

4) Master of Puppets— it would be higher if I hadn’t grown so bored of the song! It is still great but I have heard it enough. Anyway the solo is great the chorus is great the riffs are all good too but I have heard it too much so it gets a 9/10 rating

5) Damage inc.— what!? This song is chaotic and thrashier than most Metallica songs ever written! 9/10

6) welcome Home (Sanatarium)— I love this song but because of the 5 songs before it, it’s not as good and it suffers from the same thing you will realise with all these early ballads...over saturation. 8/10

7) Lepah Massiah— this song is heavy and slower but you have to admit it’s pretty good! I liked this song and it deserves a 7/10

8) The Thing That Should Not Be— I don’t like this song much. I didn’t like the riff much and he best thing is the guitar tone. 3/10
