The influential legacy behind Murdoch University's name

Murdoch University is named after one of Australia’s most influential writers in history. He was an essayist, an academic, a philosopher and a man of intelligence and wit. He believed in accessible education for all, equality and inclusivity, and social empowerment. His name? Sir Walter Murdoch.

We spoke to three of his great grandchildren to learn more about the man who inspired our name.
