Spanakopita is a Greek spinach and feta pie. It’s crispy and flaky on the outside, cheesy and tender on the inside.
It's a surprisingly simple pie with store-bought phyllo dough and a filling of spinach, spring onions, leeks, eggs, olive oil, and plenty of delicious Greek feta cheese.
Phyllo or filo dough, also used in Turkish recipes such as Baklava and Börek, is made with flour and olive oil, is low in fat, and gets incredibly crispy, crinkled, and flakey.
