These are some of the most overrated ingredients that restaurants use.
1. Kale
Kale on it's own isn't bad, but serving it raw needs to be done well to even be edible. These dry kale salads have got to go.
2. Cheap Truffle Oil
if you're using legit truffles, I'm all for it, but this synthetic sh*t is just a way to con people out of money. Knock it off.
3. Gold Flakes
This might be one of my biggest ingredient pet peeves because there's just no reason for it. Gold flakes or no, I promise it will all come out looking the same.
There are an endless amount of ingredients to choose from. Choose something worthwhile that actually adds to the quality of the dish and stop being an @sshole.
