The Truth About Muzzles

In this dog training video, we discuss the idea of muzzles, and the different reasons (other than aggression) that people may choose to muzzle condition their dog or puppy. One of the reasons is for dogs with PICA or Mega Esophagus, who can die if they eat anything outside.

As the video plays, we are demonstrating muzzle training with Uma, the 7 month old Doberman. Simple exercises like this can ensure that, if there is a situation where the dog HAS TO be muzzled, such as at the vet or an emergency shelter, it won't be as stressful, because they already WANT TO put it on.
