Spring Lake Police investigating a Fatal Pedestrian Struck Hwy 210 02.15.23

Just before 7 pm Spring Lake Fire, Spring Lake Police and Cumberland County EMs were dispatched to the area of the 1400 block of Lillington Highway (NC Highway 210) for a vehicle crash.

As the firefighters were arriving they located a small sports car in the right lane of the northbound lanes with the hazard lights activated. Right behind the car was a male victim laying in the middle of the northbound lanes.

Immediate life saving measures were conducted. Cumberland County Paramedics arrived and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

All lanes of NC Hwy 210 are closed due to the investigation.

CCSO is directing traffic around the scene.

NCSHP Troopers have been requested to assist in the fatality investigation.
