As a hair surgeon, I often see patients who want to improve the appearance of an FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) scar, especially if they prefer shorter hairstyles. Fortunately, there are several effective options for scar repair.

One of the best solutions is scar camouflage with FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction), where I transplant hair follicles directly into the scar to blend it with the surrounding hair. For patients who prefer a non-surgical approach, Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) can create the illusion of hair follicles within the scar using medical-grade pigment.

If the scar is raised or wide, I often recommend laser therapy, microneedling, or PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy to improve texture and stimulate collagen production.
