Laser Treatment Downtime

I discuss the downtime differences between various laser treatments. For non-ablative very light lasers like Clear and Brilliant, there's absolutely no downtime - you can go out to lunch right after treatment and no one will notice! With Fraxel or Fraxel Restore, expect about 4-6 days of mild swelling and redness that's easily concealed with products like Color Science 3-in-1 Total Eye, regular concealer, or tinted sunscreen. CO2 lasers are more aggressive - though the downtime duration is similar to Fraxel (about one week), you'll experience more significant redness and swelling during those 4-6 days of recovery.
