Tarantulas are extremely popular in Animal Crossing: New Horizons (ACNH) because they sell for 8,000 bells each or at 80% of that if you use the drop-off box.

You can find plenty of tarantulas in mystery islands (via Nook Miles Ticket) but you'll need to do some clearing first.

Here's how you can get tarantulas to spawn in the mystery islands in ACNH.

Also, you should hunt for them late at night / early in the morning when it's still dark. If it's raining, tarantulas should spawn quicker due to most other bugs not spawning.
