Guadalajara area of ​​the Old Bus Station and Cultural Market
After almost 4 decades operating as the only intercity bus station, the Old Central Bus Station of Guadalajara founded in 1952 had already exceeded its operational capacity; it was the most important terminal in the Central-Western Region, since it was used for both runs within the State of Jalisco and the rest of the Republic. The large auto transport groups, as well as those with a regional scope, decided to build, through authorization of the President of the Republic, a New Central Bus Station in accordance with the needs of the time, considering an increase in their operations in the medium term. It was inaugurated in April 1988, with the following companies and transport groups as main participants:
Tianguis Cultural
A space for public and free cultural promotion where diversity gives us identity. A place for generating self-employment and offering alternative goods.
