EP#7 The Mindful Digital Nomad Developer - Andre Crabb

Listen in on this episode as Andre Crabb talks about his journey from working in Silicon Valley at many of the biggest tech companies. He goes into how that experience shaped him, taught him lessons and pushed him to start to travel the world as a digital nomad. Years later, and after 1000's of miles traveled, Andre calls Puerto Rico home, he gets into his reasoning.

Always changing, always learning, André moves through life unlike most. Accomplishments such as earning Eagle Scout, graduating from UC Berkeley, and working for some of the top tech companies in Silicon Valley have set a high bar, and moving up is the only option.

After working in the Bay Area for three years, he decided the office-desk life wasn't for him. It was a hard decision, but André changed companies to work remotely, left the Bay, and began traveling as a digital nomad. For two years he spent time in South America, Europe, and the US, staying in each city for a month or so. It was in this time that the world of entrepreneurship caught his attention. Unfortunately even with his great lifestyle, André wasn't happy, so he quit his full-time job in February 2019, and settled in Puerto Rico for a bit of a break. This is where the fun really began.

Since moving to Puerto Rico, André has started his own software consulting business, snagged a regular client as a contractor, partnered up to start a profitable business, and is slowly launching two others.

André wasn’t always into business, but once he tasted it there was no going back. Entrepreneurship as a creative outlet is something Andre enjoys as it makes it possible to earn a living from personal projects and one’s own drive and desire. The sky is the limit.

In his free time, you'll find André salsa dancing, meditating, or doing calisthenics.
