Go Ahead and Mow

This is not a popular opinion, but if people want to mow down dandelions, I say go ahead and do it. I have yet to see any science that supports the #NoMowMay movement in North America. Considering that the hashtag began in the UK, a place that is not ecologically identical to Newfoundland (or North America), it may not be wise to simply do what they do in the UK. The best beekeeping practices have to take into consideration local conditions. Perhaps the best conservation practices should too. Personally, I like dandelions and have never had a problem with letting them grow, but I have yet to see any science that confirms that they're good or bad for #pollinators one way another.
