Billings Farm at Home: Guess the Artifact - Motor Powered Butter Churn

You may have guessed the use for the machine we posted yesterday - it was indeed a butter churn! This Davis Swing Churn is powered by a water motor that uses water piped in from the Pogue, a body of water which today is located within the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park across the street from Billings Farm & Museum. Billings Farm interpreter, Tiana, explains how it works.
