Reaching nomadic communities in Cameroon

Massangam, Cameroon is a remote area without established roads and local geographic knowledge isn't recorded on maps. That’s why our research team are on the ground working to locate nomadic camps using satellite imagery, to ensure that we can safely reach people living in these communities to distribute vital treatment for river blindness. Kareen, research coordinator for NTDs in Cameroon, explains more now that fieldwork is back up and running after being paused due to COVID-19.
