Spring tea is the critical season for tea production in Zhejiang, with early tea serving as a barometer for the spring tea market. On February 14, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Zhejiang Province held the 2025 Zhejiang Green Tea and Wenzhou Early Tea Harvesting Launch Event in Cangnan, Wenzhou.

During the event, the department released the harvesting schedules for green tea across various regions in Zhejiang. Researcher Yu Liaoyuan from the department stated that barring severe extreme climatic conditions such as a "late spring cold spell," this year's provincial tea production is projected to show an increase compared to last year.
