I don't mean to be personal, but you get a little emotional when a show you've watched through to the end finishes.
I've followed this show through everything, from reviews to exclusive interviews, so why is it ending so abruptly? It's definitely a strange feeling.
When Power Book II: Ghost Season 4 premiered, I was more thrilled than unhappy. Knowing that a series is coming to a conclusion gives you time to sit with that.
Embrace it, and then take a new look at the series.
It's shocking when a series is abruptly canceled. Even while it didn't necessarily affect your viewing experience at the time, you'll usually look back with more resentment than nostalgia when you consider what might have been.
Given that the series ending defied many predictions by maintaining this aspect of the Power universe as a fully functional entity, I'm still wondering what might have happened beyond this season.
They didn't exaggerate everything. They accomplished the exact reverse of that, if you will.
With the exception of the fact that some of the original characters were no longer present, we were transported back in time to the early years of the series.

But before we get too deeply into that conclusion, let's examine how it came to be.
I had been waiting all season for an Avengers-style team-up in which all of the regular players united to oppose Noma and Carter, and we got it here.
The Tejada siblings were only interested in getting revenge for Monet's death, and only a Tejada would grieve for a few hours before jumping right into retaliation.
I couldn't even hold them accountable this time.
By protecting her children and letting them make their own decisions, she aimed to disrupt certain tendencies and establish a relationship with them.
Even though she would never win mother of the year, her children all felt a connection to her and could feel the loss they were going through above all the disappointments they had endured throughout their lives as a result of her.

Naturally, Cane was more devastated by Monet's passing than Dru and Diana were. She left with Noma's hand, whom Monet had often warned Cane about before she passed away, in addition to the fact that they had always been closer.
Even if he didn't know everything, Cane has always believed he knew best. Ultimately, Noma defeated him, and Monet lost his life defending him.
Finger-pointing dominated the Tejada's first conversation back at the house, but it ended quickly when they all agreed on a single objective.
Outside of the brief instances we saw during the series, I wish we had seen more of the three of them genuinely getting along.
