[PUBLIC LECTURE] Understanding the South Korean Miracle - Part 2: (Nov 18): Economic Development

As part of undergraduate course "GS 197: The Making of Global Korea" offered by UP Center for International Studies, special lectures are being organized in partnership with Seoul National University Asia Center (SNUAC, 서울대학교 아시아연구소).

Our guest speaker Dr. Keiran Macrae will discuss Korea during the period of 1953–1987 thematically over two weeks, focusing on the political and economic divergence of the two Koreas.

Part 2 (Nov 18): Economic Development
Speaker: Dr. Keiran Macrae is a lecturer of modern and contemporary Korean history in the Faculty of Liberal Education, Seoul National University. He received his Master's degree in Korean Studies and Ph.D. in International Studies from the Graduate School of International Studies, Seoul National University. His dissertation focuses on post-Cold War history wars in South Korea. Canadian by birth, he has called Korea his home for the better part of two decades now.
