Are you struggling to get your toddler to pee or poop during potty training? (OR are you struggling as an ADULT?!🙋♀️) TRY THIS POOP HACK!🚽💩⬇️
Everyone said I was “crazy” for potty training 9 months pregnant but I’m so grateful b/c my 20 month old loves going potty and it’s made having a newborn so much easier🙏⬇️
Try using a simple REWARD each time your kiddo poops and then eventually remove it once they get it down!
My kiddo is just excited every time she does it by herself and doesn’t need it now so she just stopped needing it after a 2-4 weeks on her own but you can also remove it at this point as the parents too (may take a little longer for some but it depends!)💩
We also use books if your kiddo is like my toddler and doesn’t stop moving 24/7! The books help them sit long enough to let their pelvic floor relax and brain signal your bowel and bladder it’s time to go!✅
And POOP with your kids using a step stool and good ergonomics and breathe your poop out so your kids mimic you! Let them watch your poop come out!💩
I keep one at home and one in my car since potty training a couple weeks ago so we can go to appointments and get groceries without worrying about needing to pee or poop out!✅
And if your toddler or kid is older and you already potty trained years ago and they still suffer from constipation or withholding their poop then don’t be afraid to start implementing these techniques now with the correct sizing on a adult potty or see a pelvic floor PT for a evaluation!🚽💩⬇️
And remember, try not worry mama because you aren’t alone! So many kids (and adults!) struggle with constipation! Just remember that you are doing your best MAMA!🫶
Learning to poop and pee isn’t easy (even for adults!). Trust me I see it all the time with my patients! Most people don’t even realize they have created habits that are actually working against them making pooping and peeing more difficult or worse😫
That’s why it’s so important to see a pelvic floor PT and talk with your doctor if you or your kiddo is struggling to 💩
And most of these carry over to adults too!🙌
Do you or your kids suffer from constipation or difficulty pooping?!⬇️
