তামিলনাড়ুর শ্রীপেরুম্বুদুর নামক একটি জায়গায় ১৯৯১ সালের ২১ শে মে নিহত হয়েছিলেন ভারতের পূর্ব প্রধানমন্ত্রী রাজীব গান্ধী। রাজীব গান্ধী ছিলেন ইন্দিরা গান্ধীর বড় ছেলে এবং জহরলাল নেহেরুর নাতি। মাত্র সাতচল্লিশ বছর বয়সে দেশের সবচেয়ে কমবয়সী প্রধানমন্ত্রী রাজীব গান্ধীর মৃত্যু হয়।
May 21, 1991, former Prime Minister of India Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated at a place called Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu. Rajiv Gandhi was the eldest son of Indira Gandhi and the grandson of Jawaharlal Nehru. Rajiv Gandhi, the youngest Prime Minister of the country, died at the age of forty-seven years.
