Castaic Lower Lagoon 1st Crappie of 2018

well i do know when fish do this type of action when they are very tired out. but i caught him so quickly in about 15 foot of water is when he bite and i was only casting maybe 20 foot of water if that. sometimes fish do this in ocean when catch them at really deep and reel them in too fast. but ya idk this fish tripped me out i felt bad but if it dies at least birds or something will eat it. i tried to get it back to me to either try to revive it better or to keep it if it died but when i got it close a 2nd time he went under for 30 seconds again then came back up.... anyways cya.
