While in Australia for this week’s XPT Coaching Certification, Performance Director PJ Nestler put together an XPT Nature workout while out enjoying the beach. The #1 rule of XPT Nature and a big part of XPT in general is to get outside!
The use of the rock (or any similar item you have around you) shows that an XPT Nature workout can be done basically anywhere at anytime. If you don’t have a gym or pool in your area, this would be the perfect solution to make sure you’re still getting your workout in and incorporating some of the #BreatheMoveRecover principles XPT was founded on.
.
Here, with the help of XPT Certified Coach Tom Molloy, PJ utilizes the heavy rock to train all of his primary movement patterns in the videos. Some things to remember - Prioritize the spine first and challenge good movement patterns.
Follow along with PJ’s prescribed exercises and reps below:
RDL x 15
Goblet Squat x 15
Bent Over Row x 15
Pushup x 15
Sprint x 50m
Repeat x 5 rounds
