Ritual vs. Encounter
As guardians of Jewish tradition, the Pharisees scrutinised Jesus and His disciples out of envy and insecurity. Jesus' radical message to them: true purity depends on the heart, not on rituals that merely cleanse externally.

We reflect: Do I listen to God with the ears of the heart and respond accordingly to God's message in scripture?
