Every year in the month of September the Poshan Maah or Nutrition month is celebrated under POSHAN Abhiyaan (PM’s Overarching Scheme for Holistic Nourishment). It is also referred to as National Nutrition Mission.This year it is the 3rd Rashtriya Poshan Maah which is being celebrated across the country.

POSHAN Abhiyaan is Government of India’s flagship programme to improve nutritional outcomes for children, pregnant women and lactating mothers and to ensure attainment of “Suposhit Bharat” i.e. Malnutrition Free India by 2022
