Whatever a man can boast of is baseless, valueless, and useless; it does not count in the currency of heaven; it is not accepted. Only faith pleases God, which is our heavenly currency. Only boast about God. The root cause of all our evil, sin, is pride. The cause of our fall is pride. Pride led satan to his fall, and it is equally responsible also for our fall. Look at Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 4:28.
