Our EPIC Experience With Elephants In Thailand

In this video we visit Happy Elephant Home in Chiang Mai Thailand.

This was one of the best and coolest adventures we've had since we started traveling.

We were picked up by a tuk tuk at our townhouse and drove into the old city in Chaing Mai. We then transferred to a van and picked up other members of the group who would be joining us for the adventure. There were 8 or 9 other people who were in our group, we drove over an hour to the Mae Taeng District, home of the Happy Elephant Home.

When we arrived, we immediately saw an elephant walking around. We changed into new clothes and got an in-depth tour and presentation about the mission at Happy Elephant Home from our guide, Pupae.

Then we got to feed the Elephants! We split up into groups and each group got to feed each Elephant. After we fed each Elephant, we all went for a hike to the river alongside the Elephants. It was an interesting walk.

We arrived at the river to an amazing view and could see the largest Elephant preservation across the river, home to over 100 Elephants. We got to bathe the Elephants and watch them walk in the river.

We then made the trek back to home base. Nicole and Sawyer took the truck back. Sammy and I walked back with the rest of the group. Sammy was excited to walk with Pupae. Along the way, Pupae showed Sammy plants that shriveled when you touch them. She was so amazed.

We arrived back to home base, got washed up and changed into our personal clothes. We then got to eat dinner after Pupae gave us a brief demonstration how to cook the noodles. We all enjoyed a bowl of noodles before the adventure came to an end.

We bought picture souvenirs where the frames were made out of Elephant poop! At the very end, everyone got a small gift of a sweet rice crackers. They were delicious, Sawyer really liked them.

We all piled into the van to head back home.
