HELIX SETUP | Part 2: Color, Stomps, Snapshots, Presets | Step By Step Guide For PERFECT TONES

In part two of this video series, I walk through setting up a Line 6 Helix Floor from scratch. This video will be perfect for anyone new to Helix or anyone who wants to learn more and start making their own presets/patches.

In this video, I cover adding a couple modulation effects like "chorus" and "tremolo". From there, I show how I like to approach my time-based effects like delay and reverb. Once you get all of your blocks and tones built, then its time to start assigning and setting up your footswitches. (I usually wait to do this until I have all my sounds created, it helps me from getting overwhelmed trying to dial it all in at the same time)

Next, I show how to set up stomps/bypass assign both on the Helix itself, and on the HX Edit software, I also give a few ideas for how to arrange the switches depending on your preference. After I get all the stomps assigned, I usually move on to Snapshots, this way its really easy to customize snapshots in a really hands-on way. I explain how to use snapshots, show how to name them, and give some examples of how they can be utilized.
