“In the slow rush of the morning dew, I say hello to you,” says Nala as she playfully puts down the cups of coffee on the table. Her eyes then move toward a puddle on the pavement. She gets lost inside her thoughts for a while. Snapping herself back to reality, she giggles.

“I’m sorry I didn’t return soon enough. I overslept on the bus ride home.
But this… here… with you… I love this so much.”

Synopsis: Simple Joys gives us a slice of life glimpse of how it feels to enjoy a slow hello, sitting with coffee mugs, chilling out, and listening to some good music while entwined together.

Tonight’s soundtrack was inspired by those film scenes where characters gaze out of the window, space out, then get lost in a daydream (and sometimes it turns into an all-out musical performance). I was inspired to introduce characters & speaking lines too.

The visuals for this one is just a puddle of water I found fascinating. When up-close, it kinda looks like tiny lakes. The concept of simple things is something I resonate with. I feel that having experienced major losses in my life, it has greatly taught me to appreciate everything. Everything can be fanciful because it is.
