Gita Sadhana Verse 1 Self Analysis

Last week, we did a sadhana to bring an awareness to our thoughts and identify the kind of thought we are having.
The thoughts may seem to come to our mind randomly, but they are not actually random. They are, in fact, conditioned by previous patterns of thoughts. The current thought is the result of our history of thinking. Hence, positive thoughts generate more positive thoughts and negative thoughts lead to more negative thoughts. The past impressions create what we call samskara. Our inherent and automatic behavioral tendency or vasanas will be according to these samskara or impressions. Vasanas can be good or bad. For eg: If someone is in need, we could respond with love vs we could respond defensively because it triggered a previous negative impression in memory. # Bhagavad Gita Series
