Jitsu Squad is a beat 'em up from Tanku Creative Studio that came out a couple of months ago. I'm finally getting around to playing it, and it's really fun. The combat feels great, and the art and graphics are amazing (although it can get very busy visually, which makes it hard to see what's happening). This game has a million references to classic arcade and console games too, I can't even begin to list all of them. See if you can spot them all?! (Good luck)
Master Mode is the highest difficulty in the game at the moment. I think they're still updating it and have an even higher difficulty coming out, as well as a new playable character and new modes. Master adds more enemies to each fight compared to Normal, and the boss AI might be more aggressive. Ultimately it's not that hard to clear though. You get a lot of lives throughout the game (one on each stage? I'm not sure how the 1UPs work, to be honest) and your character has a lot of powerful tools to take advantage of.
I'm pressed for time right now so I'll write a bit more later. I'll just cap this off by saying this is a really fun game and I'd absolutely recommend it to beat 'em up fans or even fans of 3D action games, as it's pretty similar to those too.
For now, Jitsu Squad is only available on PC, but it should be coming to Switch, PS4, and Xbox later this year.
