These are the raw video clips of the tests I conducted on my PS3 Phat CECHL01 to simulate conditions where the PS3 is no longer apart of the PSN ecosystem. I TRIED TO REACH OUT TO SONY, BUT THEY WOULD NOT RESPOND (pls respond.......)
This is an experiment anyone with a PS3 can (and eventually, WILL) try! Please, do not take my word for it - try it out yourself. Remove your CMOS battery or if you have a dead CMOS follow along at home! The more data the better. I wanted to show my methods up front, before I said anything else to alleviate the doubt. I will be following this video with my full explainer on the issue and what this means for the preservation of the PS3 in the future.
