Are you feeling distant from God? Do you struggle with building a personal, deep relationship with Him? In this video, I’m sharing how to go beyond knowing about God and start truly knowing Him on a heart-to-heart level. Many of us accept Jesus as our Savior, but often, we stop short of cultivating a rich, personal relationship with Him. While salvation through Jesus is essential, God desires so much more for us—He wants to be your friend, not just your Savior.

When we think of God, we often think of rules, commandments, and duties that we must follow. But that’s not how God sees us. He doesn’t just want us to follow a set of rules; He wants us to build a deep, intimate relationship with Him. God is a person, not a list of do's and don’ts. He has desires, feelings, and a heart that burns for us to know Him personally. He doesn’t want us to simply show up to church, pray in routine, or go through the motions of a faith that feels disconnected. Instead, He wants us to experience a vibrant relationship with Him.
In John 17:3, Jesus explains that eternal life isn’t just about going to heaven—it’s about knowing God personally. He says, "And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent." Eternal life is about an ongoing, intimate relationship with God that begins right now. It's not just something to look forward to in the future, but something we can experience today. But how do we move from a surface-level understanding of God to knowing Him deeply?
The answer is simple: spending time with Him. Just like any meaningful relationship, the key is quality time. You can’t truly get to know someone without investing time into them. God is no different. He longs for us to spend time with Him—alone in prayer, in worship, and in moments of quiet reflection. Matthew 6:6 encourages us to go into our room, shut the door, and pray to God in secret. This "secret place" is where we connect with Him personally, away from distractions, and build that intimate bond.
As we begin to make it a habit to talk to God, listen to Him, and share our hearts with Him, we start to experience the joy of knowing God in a deeply personal way. It may feel awkward at first, but just like any friendship, it will grow and deepen over time. God will meet you where you are and will reveal Himself to you as you seek Him with an open heart.
Remember, God will never force you into a relationship. James 4:8 says, "Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you." God is always waiting for you to make the first move, and when you do, He promises to meet you with open arms. All He wants is your simple "yes."
If you're ready to move beyond a shallow faith and step into a life-changing relationship with God, this video will help guide you in that process. God’s heart for you is to experience a deep, life-transforming relationship with Him. Don’t settle for knowing about Him—get to know Him personally and experience the fullness of life that He offers.
