Soft Muruku | Gathiya

Recipe:
Ingredients:
Oil - 1/2 Cup
Water - 1/2 Cup
Salt - As Per Taste
Black Peppercorns - 1 Tbsp Crushed
Gram Flour (Besan) - 2 Cups
Oil - For Deep Frying

Preparation Method:
1. Mix oil and water vigorously until frothy.
2. Add salt, crushed black peppercorns, and gram flour(besan) to the frothy mixture.
3. Mix everything thoroughly to form a smooth dough.
4. Heat oil for deep frying in a pan or kadai over medium heat.
5. Fill a muruku maker or chakli press with the dough and press directly into the hot oil in circular motions.
6. Fry the gathiya in batches until golden brown and crispy, stirring occasionally for even frying.
7. Remove fried gathiya with a slotted spoon and drain excess oil on paper towels.
8. Allow gathiya to cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
Serve and enjoy as a snack on its own or with tea!
