Godwin-Falcon Fire Department responds to fully involved structure fire on Deldrick Lane Godwin.

Wednesday Night firefighters from Godwin-Falcon Fire Rescue, Wade Community Fire, Bethany Fire, Eastover Fire Rescue, Dunn Emergency Services were called to 7100 Deldrick Lane off Godwin Falcon Rd ( NC Highway 82) for a reported structure fire.

Units arrived to find a non residential structure (garage) fully involved.

Firefighters began fire suppression operations by putting out the grass fire before it could spread to the vacant doublewide mobile home. Then fire surpression was turned to the building that was burning.

Cumberland County Sheriff's Office Arson Investigators have been called to investigate the cause of the fire which is suspicious in nature as the property has been vacant for at least 6 years.
