Worth the Effort: Managing Vaccine Side Effects and Building Immunity

Learn common vaccine side effects and ways to soothe at home. In this video, a dedicated mother takes her baby to get his six-month vaccines to help protect him from diseases that can cause serious illnesses and death. She knows that getting the vaccine may cause discomfort and a short period of normal side effects while the body is building immunity, but she’s ready with home care strategies like applying a cool cloth to soothe a fever, breastfeeding, comforting, and giving pain and fever medication such as acetaminophen.
