County Lines Drug Dealer Jailed After Cash Seized in Birmingham

A County Lines drug dealer who tried to cover up the evidence of his crimes has been jailed.

Niall Williams was jailed earlier this week for nearly 5 years following an investigation by officers from the Birmingham Local Policing Area.

Williams, 30, was arrested in October 2022 after a routine stop by officers in Quinton, who spotted him driving and asked to search his car.

While being searched, Williams began resisting and kicking out at officers, shouting at people nearby to "sort out my yard".

Following this, officers searched a site in Simmons Drive, where they found more than £25,000 in cash and a large amount of cocaine, heroin and cannabis.

An extensive investigation took place resulting in Williams being charged with possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs, as well as perverting the course of justice.

Williams pleaded guilty at Birmingham Crown Court on 7 March and was sentenced to four years and eight months in prison.
