Vic's biggest asset and superpower is her compassion. It was enough to move you that she got to pour all of that into Morris.

There were parallels drawn between Vic's work at Crisis One and Ross's defense of her and the program, as he went so far as to criticize the mayor for caving in to his enemies at the expense of his supporters.

It's difficult what we do, what we see, and what we go through on a daily basis at work. This is a safe space to talk about it and an acknowledgement of that.

It's most obvious in those situations, which is why Ross is such a badass and one of the best contributions to this series.

Although she is reluctant to take any credit for herself, she was undoubtedly instrumental in Vic's decision to keep her position and save the program. Nobody would have criticized Osman so harshly and in such a way.

Morris gained a lot while he was there and became friends with them, even if they were ultimately unable to help him.

His passing was incredibly painful. It makes sense that he would feel that way after losing everything the previous time they conducted a sweep and threw everyone's stuff in the trash after demolishing the encampment.

His death was caused by an unusual explosion accident. The fact that he was unable to purchase a house prior to his passing is quite distressing.

They were all so close to him that his death was a shock to them all.

Vic could have been the one to reason with Morris, therefore it hurt that she wasn't present at the scene. However, it's a good thing she wasn't present for that.

Still, there was a lot of intensity in everyone going back to the station and breaking the news, and that's when the episode really got going.


After such a trying call, Vic demonstrated her courage and resiliency by choosing to lead the debriefing and emotionally check in with everyone.

That scene was nothing what we had imagined. However, it was better than anything else that could have been thought of.

The way the action was set up and what happened next demonstrated the series' excellent writing and attention to detail.

Travis said that he hoped Vic was there to share the load with him, but hearing his honesty stung so badly. It was difficult to resist the want to give in to that feeling.
