Hi guys, I'm checking this bass before doing any upgrades. When I tried only 1 of the 2 pickups, you can hear noise. That's real and it could be because the electronics are not very good quality and/or the bass is not shielded. Despite this, I personally like the sound of this bass.

I plugged the bass direct to the Universal Audio Apollo Twin Duo and used the Neve 1073 preamp. *No other plugins/hardware were used for this recording, more than the Neve 1073, so you get the most natural/real/neutral sound from the bass.
