Lawyer of alleged male ‘Diddy’ victim speaks to Newsnight

Katie Razzall speaks to lawyer Lisa Bloom, who represents two individuals who claim they were sexually abused by Sean Combs, the rapper also known as P Diddy. They discuss the case against Mr Combs, the differences in how men and women who make accusations of sexual assault are treated - and the recent death of Jeffrey Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre and how Prince Andrew, who Giuffre accused, has behaved.

Sean Combs statement:
"Mr Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process.

"In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone - man or woman, adult or minor."

Statement issued on behalf of Prince Andrew in 2022:
“Prince Andrew has never intended to malign Ms Giuffre’s character, and he accepts that she has suffered both as an established victim of abuse and as a result of unfair public attacks…
“Prince Andrew regrets his association with Epstein, and commends the bravery of Ms Giuffre and other survivors in standing up for themselves and others.”
