Trailblazer for Over 55 Years: Meet Sierra Club Volunteer Vicky Hoover

Meet Vicky Hoover, Sierra Club volunteer since 1968.

Our rich legacy as a historic grassroots organization is nothing without our people. The environmental movement has changed throughout the decades, but the commitment of Sierra Club’s volunteers has not. This year, we will hear more from the environmental leaders who shaped the movement we’re in today.

Meet Vicky Hoover, born August 1936 in New York City. Vicky has volunteered with the Sierra Club for more than 55 years, and has led over 100 outings bringing people out to enjoy nature. Vicky is still active today as a volunteer, and is the editor of two Sierra Club newsletters.
