Most Italian-Americans grew up eating Pastina whenever they were sick. But there are many ways to prepare this "tiny pasta"... One way is Pastina with Egg, an easy method that yields a final product similar to grits, polenta, or even couscous. Pastina with egg is soft and easy to eat, perfect when you're sick and have little energy to cook. I'm not sure if it actually has curative properties, but it's delicious and nostalgic nonetheless. Have you had it? Get my Pastina with Egg Recipe below, and check out my other pastina recipes while you're at it!
