Yaima Live with Full Band @ St. Mark’s Cathedral | 11.1.25
What an incredible evening at St. Mark’s Cathedral! From the moment we walked into this stunning space, we could feel the energy and anticipation buzzing in the air. Playing in a venue like this—where every note seems to carry and expand—is such an honor, and this night will stay with us for a long time.
This performance was extra special for us because we got to share the stage with some truly amazing friends and collaborators. Shannon Lee Hayden on cello, Dave Hoover on flute and harp, and Jared May on bass brought so much depth and texture to the music. It felt like every instrument had its own voice in the conversation, and we all came together in the best possible way.
We were also so grateful to have Rafe Pearlman and his band open the night with their incredible energy. They created such a beautiful space for us to step into—it felt like we were all part of one continuous flow of music and connection.
The evening wouldn’t have been possible without the vision and support of Imagine Orcas Island Festival and Fremont Abbey Arts, who helped bring this dream to life. Collaborating with them made this experience even more meaningful.
For us, music is about creating a shared moment—a space where we can all connect, breathe, and just be. Looking out into the audience and seeing so many familiar faces, alongside new ones, made this night feel like a true gathering of the heart.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and shared in this moment. If you were there, we hope you felt the magic too. And if you’re watching this now, we hope the music carries a little of that energy to you, wherever you are.
With gratitude,
Pepper & Masaru (Yaima)
