What vaccines does my family need before traveling internationally? – Healthy at Home with Dr. Handy

Dr. Lori Handy advises individuals to be up to date on all their recommended vaccines here in the U.S. prior to traveling internationally. She also recommends speaking with your healthcare provider or a travel clinic regarding vaccine requirements or medications for your travel destination. These steps should be taken well in advance of international travel since vaccines take time to build up immunity and some of the medications might take time to get.
