My name is Michelle and I've lost 150 pounds while managing life in my 50's, a home, a job, a family, and without spending a single day in a gym. How have I done it? Calorie deficit dieting.
But as a wife, mother, and homemaker, how do I manage to stay on calorie deficit while at the same time feeding my family? Substitutes, swaps, and by thinking outside of the box! Adapting ingredients and cooking methods of favorite family recipes to serve them their favorites, while simultaneously making adaptations to create 300 calorie per plate versions of the dinner for myself.
In this video I share my SUPER easy way of using the crockpot to make delicious Birria Style Pork Ribs, and I accompany it with a Mexican Street Corn-inspired Baked Elote Casserole. The resulting dinner plates come in at 1300 calories for my family, but only 300 calories per plate for me! And FOOD VOLUME is not one of the sacrifices made in this video!
