How much does the Indian public know about periods?

Periods have always been taboo for most of the people in our country. They either do not like talking about it, or they ignore the topic when someone asks them about it, what’s the worst-case scenario? Some of the men define periods as “it is the dirtiness coming out of a woman and during this time period, the women are unclean and one should not be near them”. Angry yet? We bet you would be after reading all this.

We went around the streets of Udaipur and asked some people, whether they knew about the term “periods”. You will be surprised to see the kind of answers, responses and reactions to this question.
