40 years old may actually be your PRIME.
Much of the performance decline previously attributed to age is actually the result of TWO things:
1. Lifestyle degradation: during middle age most men begin to train less while harboring unhealthy diet, sleep, alcohol and lifestyle habits).
2. Wear and tear: accumulating injury build-up, both small and large, that conspire to make men less active - thus compounding the impact of the original injuries themselves).
The truth: if you’re training SMART, your strength and endurance won’t actually begin to notably decline until well AFTER age 40.
You will also have more knowledge, technique and expertise than your younger self.
And as recovery technologies like HRT and stem cells progress, the 40 year old athlete will likely continue to get younger.
